Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cakelu.in (the "Website") and any purchase you make through it. The Website is operated by Mango Bakers ("we", "us", "our"), Thrissur, Kerala, India, under the brand Cakelu. By browsing the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Website under the supervision of a parent or guardian, and be able to enter into a legally binding contract under Indian law. We deliver only to addresses within India.

2. Our products

• Cakelu sells gift boxes containing four tins of cake. The flavours in each box are selected by our bakers from the current batch and may change between batches. The flavours currently included are listed on the product page.
• Photographs are for illustration. Colours, presentation and packaging may vary slightly. Our cakes are baked in small batches, so minor variation in appearance and weight is normal.
• We may change, discontinue or limit any product at any time.

3. Prices and taxes

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). Applicable taxes and shipping charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but the price shown when you place your order is the price you pay.

4. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it by email or SMS. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example because of a pricing or stock error, an undeliverable address, or suspected fraud. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund the full amount.

Please make sure the delivery address, pincode and phone number you give us are correct. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete details.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay and our checkout provider, Shopify, using the payment methods shown at checkout. We do not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details. Your payment is subject to the terms of the payment method or bank you use.

If money is deducted but your order is not confirmed, or you are charged more than once, the amount will be refunded to the original payment method. Please contact us with your order details and we will help.

6. Shipping and delivery

We ship across India through Delhivery. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can occur because of weather, courier or festival-season volumes, or events beyond our control. Please see our Shipping Policy for more detail.

Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you provided. Please check the parcel on delivery and tell us at once if it looks damaged.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Because our cakes are food products, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once an order is shipped. If your box arrives damaged, spoiled or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos, and we will offer a replacement or refund. Please see our Refund Policy for details, including cancellation before dispatch. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method, usually within [5–7] working days.

8. Food safety, allergens and storage

Our products are made in a kitchen that may handle milk, gluten, eggs, nuts and other allergens. Ingredient and allergen information is being finalised for each cake. If you or the person you are gifting to has an allergy or dietary restriction, please contact us before ordering and do not assume any product is suitable. Store the cakes as advised in the storage and shelf-life information provided with the product, and consume them before the date shown. We are not liable for reactions caused by allergens where you did not contact us to check first.

9. Gifts

You may ask us to deliver an order to another person. You are responsible for making sure the recipient's details are correct and that they are able to receive the order.

10. Intellectual property

The Cakelu name, logo, packaging design, photographs, illustrations and all content on the Website belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Website, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, using it for unlawful purposes, or placing orders using another person's payment details without permission.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Website or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on the Website on the day you place your order applies to that order.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have as a consumer, the courts at Thrissur, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
